Meet the Team
Neeraj Narayan
Co-founder and CEO
Neeraj Narayan is a sustainability and supply chain leader with over 25 years of experience working across climate strategy, operations, and global value chains. He is the Founder and CEO of SIV Impact, a nature-focused sustainability company helping organizations build climate resilience through practical, on-the-ground solutions.
Before founding SIV Impact, Neeraj spent much of his career at Nike, where he led sustainability and supply chain initiatives globally. His work involved close collaboration with manufacturers, governments, and internal leadership teams to scale responsible sourcing, water stewardship, and climate programs in complex operating environments.
Sustainability is personal to Neeraj. He grew up in communities in India already living with water scarcity, extreme heat, and environmental stress. These lived experiences continue to shape his conviction that climate risk is not abstract. It is operational, financial, and human.
Neeraj focuses on strengthening climate resilience for businesses and communities by aligning sustainability with real-world execution, measurable outcomes, and long-term value.
Neeraj is based in Portland, Oregon, and works globally across the U.S., India, and Southeast Asia.
Kumar Venkat
Co-founder and CTO
Kumar Venkat is a technologist, simulation and AI modeler, and climate analyst with deep expertise in building modeling-based solutions in multiple domains. His recent work as founder of Model Paths includes a machine learning model for wildfire risk prediction and a regional climate data platform, both deployed as web apps.
He was previously CTO at Planet FWD, heading up technology, software development for product LCA and corporate GHG inventory applications, and life-cycle data development for food and other consumer sectors – focusing on emissions accounting and decarbonization.
Prior to that, he was the founder and CEO at CleanMetrics, which developed innovative life-cycle assessment and GHG inventory analysis tools and databases to make emissions accounting fast, easy and inexpensive.
Kumar is also an expert chip designer and developer of modeling-based automation tools for chip design. His career in that space included stints at multiple tech companies including Intel. He was the founder and CEO of Surya Technologies which provided a range of automation tools for chip designers in the US, Japan and India.
Kumar’s passion for science and sustainability led him to develop a suite of free simulation tools for STEM students, including a widely used chemical reaction simulator and a climate simulator. He has also written extensively on modeling/analytics, climate and sustainability.
Kumar is based in Portland, Oregon.
